Happy Monday!! Have you joined our subscription plan yet? As a trial run we have been offering all of our teachings and classes for free this month and for the month of June. This month has been all about the nervous system and how to stay calm during these testing times. My class will be this Friday where I demonstrate a cooking of a plant based dish that has lots of good foods for your nervous system. There are tons of foods that help nourish your system keeping you more calm throughout the day. But while paying attention to consuming those foods also be aware of the foods that can cause anxiety. Caffeine- because it’s a stimulant it can increase or generate anxiety and effect your sleep as well. Alcohol- can impact your quality of sleep and change your serotonin levels. Refined carbs- can cause your blood sugar to spike which can worsen your anxiety. Dairy- is an inflammatory food and can increase adrenaline. Sugar- makes it harder to cope with anxiety because of the jittery, nervous effects it gives us. Gluten- this may not effect all people but if you consume a lot of gluten and experience anxiety you should cut it out for a few weeks and see if you feel any better. Instead of jumping to medication at first, make sure to maintain a clean diet and lifestyle and see how much better you can feel! #vegan #nervoussystem #calm #anxiety #subscription #plantbased #clean #mindfuleating #livingacertainwayonpurpose

Day 34: today was hard mentally. I didn't get much done at all, but I managed to do a little bit of embroidery and that is going to have to be enough for me for today . . . #embroidery #progess #handembroidered #handembroidery #fiberart #art #mentalhealth #anxiety

Repost from @breakingtaboo #mondaymotivation Everyone struggles from anxiety in one way or another. It is very important to be mindful of the words or the pharses which we use when someone opens up about feeling anxious. Let's break the stigma. Let's be kind. Given this, we have to be also mindful that everyone is different and there are some things which might work for one person and might not work for another person. It is better to ask the person how can you help? Or is there anything which I can do to help? 🎨- @realdepressionproject • • • • #breakingtaboo #killsilence #savelives #mentalhealth #mentalillness #quarantine #mondaymotivation #meditation #covid19 #mentalhealthawareness #itoktonotbeok #anxietycoping #healing #anxiety #suicideprevention #breakingtaboo #itsoktonotbeok #mensmentalhealth #mentalhealthadvocate #selfgrowth #gratitude #mentalhealthawarenesmonth #mayismentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealthwarrior #nationalwomenhealthweek #stigmafree #endthestigma #suicideawareness #itsokaynottobeokay #fightthestigma #breakthetaboo

It’s Mental Health Awareness month and I have never been shy about sharing my struggles with anxiety and depression or my tools and resources to work on and have a happy life. When we feel triggered, being able to pause, breathe and reflect before we react is a game changer. Also tracking back how we feel and sharing that observation softens the dialogue. Have you tried this? Sending love to you all. • • RP @alidipkelly414 ❤️ • • • #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #anxiety #depression #mindfulness #breathe #selflove #bekind

Sometimes it all feels like too much. I worry there will never be a time in my nursing career I won’t have to wear a mask at work. I constantly worry about the risk of exposure to Covid, constantly question if I fitted my N95 correctly, if my equipment was properly sanitized. I have nightmares, I am having increased trouble sleeping, I have more frequent migraines. I feel full of anxiety. But I am trying to remind my mind to slow down, take this all one day at a time, even one hour at a time. I am trying not to bottle up my feelings, talking about it all makes it a tiny bit better. I am also trying to not be upset with myself, I have the right to feel whatever feelings I feel...it is how I handle these feelings that is imperative. I am keeping my head up but I won’t lie, I am struggling. One day at a time, one shift at a time. 💪👩🏻‍⚕️ #RN #nurse #registerednurse #nursing #nursingduringcovid19 #pandemic #Covid19 #healthcareworker #caregiver #caregiverburnout #anxiety #stress #worry #copingwithanxiety #copingwithstress #counseling #talkaboutyourfeelings #mentalhealth #itsokaynottobeokay

A former friend medication shamed me when I confided in her, calling life-saving meditation, "poison". In her eyes, #Suicide was better than medication that would ostensibly put a stop to potential tragedy. I still have the text messages to prove what was said. I am glad I saw her true colors. She was NOT a true friend. Many people I know have needed help navigating the horrors of medication and side effects, regardless of their suffering, but they #KeepFighting. Zero tolerance for medication shaming losers who don't understand that a pill (or several) might be ALL that's holding someone together each day and keeping them out of the hospital, or worse. This page is a safe place for those of you who've been judged for taking ANY kind of medication that benefits ANY aspect of your health. I take medication for #Anxiety, #ChronicPain, #ChronicMigraine, #Arthritis, #ChronicInsomnia, and #ComplexPTSD. Medication for other health issues, also invisible to the naked eye, have failed me 30+ times. I don't have too many options left. 😔 And I'm STILL fighting for proper diagnoses and treatment for worsening issues. Why should ANY of us been made to feel shame for fighting for our lives?! #JudgmentFreeZone #DontMedicationShame

Asking for a friend! Research shows that a POSITIVE FOCUS is widely beneficial. Make no mistake, Positive Psychology isn’t ‘happiology’ and it’s not about ‘ignoring problems’. It IS the study of human flourishing and it cuts across contexts ... how good does THAT sound?! 🤍👊🏼
